According to the blurb on Gigi's website, her personal pet project "Nobody Knows" is in the last phases of production. She writes:
Right now I am in Huntington Beach and I am completing the packaging for Nobody Knows. Fabien and I did the final edit a couple of days ago. We are just waiting to add the credits and off we go :)
If you haven't been keeping track, "Nobody Knows" is a film project created, produced and directed entirely by Gigi on her free time, from her personal funds and it ties into her fledgling comic book series.
Good news for Gigi fans in Germany - you will have a chance to meet her and get her autograph in person in April at the FedCon. The convention will be taking place in the Maritim Hotel in Düsseldorf, Germany. It starts on April 28th and ends May 1.
Does anyone out there had a chance to get a picture with our lovely lady at the Comic Con this year? Unfortunately I did not attend the convention, and so far I haven't seen anything online. If you do have some pictures or Gigi related Comic Con stories to share we would all love to hear them. Please contact me and I will be more than happy to link to your website.
Rescue Special Ops was renewed for the third season. Gigi will be once again returning as a full cast member. Filming will be starting in September, with the air date expected early next year.
As much as I would love to see Gigi go back and do more SF stuff here in US, it's good to know that her current series is doing well. This is actually a great gig for her - she gets a steady paycheck, gets to work in her own country and gets local recognition that comes with working on a prime time drama show (as opposed to a science fiction series where they paint you gray from head to toe so that you don't look like yourself anymore).
Rescue Special Ops just finished shooting it's second season. Australians will soon be able to watch the new episodes on channel nine. The rest of the world... Well, we will probably have to catch it online somehow.
It's probably worth mentioning that there is a bit of controversy around the promo I posted above. Apparently Channel Nine made it to closely resemble a promo clip for Discovery Channel's Born Survivor. Did Channel 9 guilty of plagiarism, or is this just the case where inspiration unintentionally turns into imitation. Lets hope this marketing faux pass won't affect the show itself.Tags:
