I don't know if you frequent reddit at all but picking the best actress to play Harley Quinn in the next Batman movie has been a recurring topic there as of late. Most redditors seem to have their hearts set on Zooey Deschanel. But that's actually not very surprising - that's just reddit for you. Not a day goes by without a Zooey related topic hitting the front page. Other popular candidates included the late Britany Murphy who sadly is no longer with us, and Fairuza Balk. 

Finally today someone mentioned Gigi as a potential candidate and I whole heatedly agree. Here are some reasons why:

• Gigi is a great physical actress. She knows how to act with her whole body. This is perfect for Harley Quinn who was a very animated character in the cartoons
• We already know she looks great with pale skin, dark lips and shaded eyes. Not everyone can pull off that look and look as great as she did when playing Chiana.
• She has the right attitude and energy for this role. Zooey is much better at playing more subdued, calm characters. On the other hand Gigi is at her best when playing the exuberant, high-energy types.
• She has the right vocal range. Seriously, look at some of her Chiana scenes. She can be sexy, playful and fast talking all at the same time.
• They could probably hire Gigi for this role for a fraction of the costs that it would cost them to get someone like Zooey.
